COMMENTS:
Looks similar to GiSelA 6 in precocity and vigor in one commercial planting in The Dalles Oregon. The rootstock adapts to many soil types. Its main drawback is it is necessary to use virus free bud wood since it is virus sensitive. Is much more stress resistant than GiSelA 6.

USA: Krymsk 5 similar size to GiSelA 6 (90% of F12/1); Krymsk 6 similar in size to GiSelA 12 (75% F12/1); more precocious than GiSelA series; less flower density reduces thinning and other characteristics; extremely sensitive to viruses; some rootstock suckering; flower density between GiSelA 5 and Maxma 14.

Krymsk 5 and 6 are dwarfing and precocious; more precocious than Mahaleb, Mazzard and Colt; well spaced buds on 2 year old wood; very virus sensitive (if infected within 2 years, trees will die); Krymsk 6 is very similar to GiSelA12 for vigour and precocity; Krymsk 5 is slightly more vigourous than GiSelA 6; less flower buds, tougher plant than G6, very grower friendly; the weakness of the GiSelA series is overcropping, heat or overwatering; K5 and K6 handle this better with better root systems.
