GENERAL INFORMATION
Pedigree: A hybrid of Prunus incanus x P. tomentosa
Origin: Krasnodar region of Russia

CHARACTERISTICS

Vigor: Dwarfing: 60% of standard (Is very dwarfing 1/3 to 1/2 of seedling size.)
Compatibility: P.domestica (Compatible with plum)
Suckering: Probably suckers
Comments: Should be resistant to an array of soilborne pathogens.

Cold Tolerant
Drought Tolerant
Waterlogging probably Tolerant
Root-knot nematodes: Probably resistant

COMMENTS:

Seems to have some incompatibility with peach. Should use with plum in the beginning.

Main strength of Krymsk 2 is with plums; same % of tree size as Krymsk 1; incompatible with peach; handles heat better in the field, used for low chill hot districts in Spain.
