NIC® 29 APPLE ROOTSTOCK
- Nic® 29 is a more vigorous M9 type with a more developed root system.
- Because of this better rooting
system (equivalent to Pajam 2-Cepiland cv) trees on Nic® 29 have
more vitality in orchards than the normal
M9.
- Produces a better rooting system
than other selections and produces
significantly more plants by the layering method when compared
to other M9 selections.
- When growing finished trees,
the rootstock will produce a higher quality of
nursery stock.
- This means better and less brittle
roots, more trunk diameter, more laterals.
- Orchard trees on Nic® 29 will
approach M26 in size but with M9 precocity
and productivity.
