OCTOBER SUN
AN AGRI SUN PLUM VARIETY (EXCLUSIVE TO ANFIC)

Fruit: Large. Very similar in appearance to Casselman.

Skin: Red on yellow background colour.

Flesh: Yellow. The juiciness and sweetness of October Sun is exceptional for the late season. Brix 18% to 20%.

Maturity: Equates to late March/April in many Australian growing areas but will hang in late areas until May.

Pollinators: Casselman, Simca, Howard Sun.

Comments: The October Sun plum is quoted as being the best eating late plum. Has been stored (cold storage) for over 30 days with 10 to 14 days shelf life with no nose or flavour.
