FRUIT:

Oblate fruit, medium in size.

SKIN:

Blue/black with mahogany colour on the shoulders.

FLESH:

Beet-red flesh with a tart flavour.

MATURITY:

Early season plum. It is a USDA release that ripens early to mid-December and one week before Santa Rosa.

POLLINATORS:

Other early plums e.g. Santa Rosa.

COMMENTS:

This fruit is larger and earlier than the industry standard, Santa Rosa. This extra-early bloomer requires a pollinizer. This variety has an estimated chilling requirement of 500 hours.
