SCARLET O'HARA
A NEW ZEALAND, PLANT & FOOD RESEARCH PEACH VARIETY

(Exclusive to ANFIC)

FRUIT: Medium to large.

SKIN: 80-100% scarlet red skin colour.

FLESH: White fleshed, low acid, can be eaten firm and crunchy. Great flavour. 13 - 14° Brix, 4 - 4.5 kg of pressure.

MATURITY: Ripens 5 days before Elegant Lady. (10 - 20 January, Hawkes Bay, NZ and 28 January to 5 February, in Central Otago, NZ).

COMMENTS: Approx. 850 chill hours.

Other Comments: Flowers in mid to late September in Bathurst, NSW (a late region).
